Our vestry is a large one consisting of the vicar, 2 wardens, 1-2 lay synod representatives, treasurer and up to 8 other members.
What do all these people
do?
The vestry meets once a month. Their oversight
includes buildings and grounds, finances, worship, and the day to day running
of the parish. They are much like a board of directors or a council (indeed
in many parts of the world they are known as the parish council).
