Based on Ephesians 4:1-16

God calls us to be...

A UNITED parish. v1-6

"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (v3)
This doesn't mean a one-size-fits-all approach, but it does mean asking hard questions about how what one part of the parish is doing fits into the bigger picture.

An OUTWARD-LOOKING parish.

"He who descended is the very one who ascended… in order to fill all things." (v10)
Christ is active in all the world and we must resist the temptation to think that "real" ministry happens mainly inside our church building.

A TRAINING parish. v7-12

"Equipping God's people to serve." (v12)
We are called to be a parish that helps people discover their gifts and helps them use and develop them.
